I'm very surprised how many people are using Adblock Plus for Internet Explorer. The reason why I'm surprised is because I didn't think anyone would use this application when they could use a paid application such as Adblock Plus for Firefox or Adblock Plus for Chrome. I've always used a virus blocker as well as a privacy tool which can be used for protecting your browser history, bookmarks and sites. But I never thought that someone would put all the resources into the development of an application that protects your Internet connection. I mean, let's face it; the more you try to track your internet usage the less money you make. What do you expect the companies who mine your information to do when they get it? If you're not protected by the Internet then you're at risk for identity theft, financial losses and loss of precious time.
It's funny how they always claim, "They only use free programs" because in actuality they use software that's free. Free stuff is only as good as the person who made it so if you pay someone to make a really good piece of software for free, then I guess you're really doing your part to protect yourself. My best example is the free Windows Firewall. This tool is great and I don't need to pay anything to have access to the firewall, which is an anti-virus and anti-spyware utility. If it was free then I wouldn't have it and I would have to pay the developers to keep up with the changes in the industry.
The irony is they use free programs to protect their computer system when the only program I use to have protection against the problems I have with my business is the free application I purchased called MalwareBytes. Well, that and a few others to name a few. What do you think of Adblock Plus for Internet Explorer? Do you use it?
